This ScoopFree Automatic Cat Litter Box is unique in that it can only use the Fresh Step litter crystals. The Scoop Free uses Fresh Step crystal litter which absorbs liquid waste and dries out solid waste.
Fresh Step crystal litter has amazing odor control and absorbs wetness on contact. One litter cartridge of Fresh Step will last as long as 30 pounds of clay litter.
The ScoopFree Automatic Cat Litter Box is amazingly easy to use and set up. Just open the litter cartridge that has Fresh Step crystal litter inside. Slide the cartridge into the litter box and store the cartridge cover under the litter try for disposal later. Then do nothing for 30 days! Nothing to fill, empty or clean for up to 30 days! I'm still blown away by that.
Twenty minutes after your cat uses the litter box, the Scoop Free automatic cat litter box will automatically and quietly rake, clean and groom the litter. Solid waste is sealed in the covered waste trap and urine is absorbed by the crystals. So instead of poop and urine clumps filling up other litter boxes, this one just has poop clumps. Which means less litter changing for you!
You don't need to worry about your cat getting caught by the automatic cat litter box cleaning. The cleaning timer resets if your cat or another cat enters the box during the countdown cycle. The rake will stop if it encounters a large object in the box. So Fluffy will be safe while doing her business.
A hood for the ScoopFree Automatic Cat Litter Box is available but sold seperately. The Scoop Free automatic cat litter box uses AC adapter only. Only Fresh Step crystal litter can used with this system. If you have two cats replace the litter cartridge every 10-15 days. For three cats replace the litter cartridge every 7-10 days. That sure beats scooping poop daily!
